Baby Falak's mother Munni arrested: Delhi Police-NewsX

Chaya Sharma, DCP, South District Delhi in a press conference today has claimed that two women Kanta & Munni has been arrested by Delhi Police in Falak case. As 2 year old Baby Falak continues to battle for life, Police claim to have tracked down a woman named Munni, who says she is Falak's biological mother. Munni is the 5th person to be arrested for battered baby case and currently her statement is being recorded at a court in Delhi. Breakfast time in Tihar Jail, Delhi

Female inmates mill around the courtyard in the morning. Piping hot breakfast being prepared early on a cold winter morning, with tea being poured into large jugs and flasks, for distribution to inmates. Piles of food laid out for inmates... A policewoman supervises work in the kitchen as volunteer inmates help with food distribution. Others help with food preparation in the kitchen, over large copper and aluminum pots. Each inmate collects a cup of tea with a toast and other modest goodies. It's cold and everyone seems to be draped in blankets and caps! The largest compound of prisons in South Asia, Tihar Jail is also known as Tihar and has a brand of their own by the name of TJ's! It is located around 7 km away from Chanakya Puri, west of New Delhi, India at Tihar village. The nearby area is called Hari Nagar. It is not just a prison but also a Correctional Institution. Its main objective is to provide useful skills, and educate the inhabitants so as to make them normal members of society. The prison is meant to strengthen the inmates' desire to improve by boosting their self esteem. The inmates also manufacture products under the brand name of Tihar or TJ's. It was run by the State of Punjab until 1966 and was a maximum security prison but later the control was transferred to National Capital Territory of Delhi.
